It’s Taco & Tequila Tuesday!

tacos-and-tequila-fest

And you know what that means – today we’re mixing up some of our best drinks and recipes with tequila, a versatile liquor that gives everything it touches a twist of deliciousness! With the summer winding down, it’s time for one more outdoor grill fiesta, so grab the below ingredients and let’s get started…

Tequila Lime Chicken Tacos:
Chicken breasts with fat trimmed off
1 cup Tequila (we like Hornitos)
1/4 cup of olive oil
Bag of Limes
Salt, Pepper & Garlic
Cilantro
Corn Tortillas
Guacamole
Hot Sauce

Preparation/Cooking:  Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic on your chicken breast, put in a plastic bag then pour in tequila, olive oil and fresh lime juice. Shake it up and let sit in fridge overnight. When you’re ready to cook them, get your grill going super hot then throw those babies on! While chicken is on the grill, squeeze fresh lime juice from the limes right onto the breasts and make them sizzle. This makes them very flavorful. Breasts need to cook 4-5 minutes on each side. Enjoy with corn tortillas, cilantro, guacamole and hot sauce.

And because you can’t have tacos without tequila, we have a quick and easy recipe for margaritas on the patio.

Party Time Lime Margaritas:
1 1/2 ounces of Gold Tequila
1/2 ounce of Triple Sec
Fresh lime juice
Sugar
Ice

Preparation: Put tequila and triple sec into a glass and add fresh lime juice (one whole lime to one drink). Add two tablespoons of sugar and stir. Pour over ice in a fresh glass and relish in the moments of these last summer days…

Ole!
