It’s Tequila Tuesday!

If there’s one import from Mexico we all love, it has to be tequila! Whether mixed in a delicious margarita, a sunrise or served neat – Cinco de Mayo is not the only day we love drinking this magical elixir. Tequila comes from the blue agave plant and goes through a long and traditional process before it hits our lips. We declare today, Tequila Tuesday and are very excited to share our recipes! (Eating tacos today is also highly recommended)

If you have a late Spring or Summer wedding approaching, consider a his and her margarita for your cocktail hour. These twisted recipes below are for one drink, however we know that your guests will love them too. Ole!

1 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
1 ounce watermelon puree
3/4 ounces agave nectar or simple syrup
Dark hickory smoked salt for rimming the glass
Lime and watermelon pieces for garnish

Rim two glasses with the hickory smoked salt and set aside. Muddle the jalapeno in a shaker. Add the liquids and some ice and shake well. Server over fresh ice, garnish with lime and watermelon.
