Magical Mudslide Milkshakes with a Twist!

It’s one hot summer here in Central Oregon and we are full ideas to keep you cool with delicious, icy beverage recipes that are easy to make when you’re grilling for two or entertaining a large crowd. This week, we’re all about post dinner drinks and simply obsessed with extreme Magical Mudslide Milkshakes – a heavenly dessert drink that will absolutely knock your socks off! Nothing says extreme like three different liqueurs, gourmet ice cream and layers of chocolate to tantalize your taste buds.

Hold on tight, here we go…

Magical Mudslide Milkshake: (serves two)
2 ounces of Bailey’s Irish Cream
2 ounce of Amaretto Liqueur
2 ounces of  Crater Lake Hazelnut Espresso Vodka
2 cups of Tillamook Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Chocolate syrup
Whip cream
Maraschino cherries, cookies or marshmallows (for extreme garnishes)
Straw and/or spoon

Preparation: Put ice cream and liqueurs into a blender and blend for 45 seconds. Add the ice and blend until smooth and creamy. In a chilled mug or wine glass drizzle chocolate syrup around inside of glass and rim. Pour milkshake inside, top with whip cream and cherry.

Recipe Variations: There are several versions of this recipe out there and it’s certainly one where you can get creative. If you’re not into flavored vodka, try a plain vodka and add 2 additional ounces of Kahlua. Don’t like Amaretto? Try Frangelico or Creme de Menthe. If you want a super extreme shake – top your milkshake with a cookie, brownie or marshmallows! Yum!
