Gin and tonics are typically a go-to in the summer. Crisp gin, sparkling, refreshing tonic, lime, loads of ice…dreamy. In the spirit of mixing things up a bit, I decided to try something I’d never tried before: the Southside Fizz. And now I’m hooked. Talk about a fun new Twist for the summertime…
- Mint leaves
- 5 tablespoons simple syrup
- 2 oz of your favorite gin (try a local favorite, Crater Lake Gin by Bendistillery)
- Lemon juice (you decide)
- Club soda (to taste)
- Collins glass filled with ice
- Fresh mint for garnish
WHAT TO DO:
- Muddle the mint leaves and simple syrup in a mixing glass or shaker; add the gin and lemon juice; shake well. Strain into a glass filled with ice and finish with a little club soda. Garnish with more mint! Refreshing!
How have I been missing out for so long??
