Spice Things Up with Apple Cinnamon Infused Vodka


October is here and the fall rituals begin: afternoon hikes through golden leaves, carving pumpkins and using those fall spices like cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg for just about everything. It’s time to bake those yummy fall treats and sit by the fire with good friends and good drinks!

This week, we’re infusing vodka with seasonal ingredients of apples and cinnamon. Vodka is a very versatile liquor which allows a plethora of infusions. The process of making Apple Cinnamon Infused Vodka is super easy, fun and when it’s done, can be sipped on it’s own or mixed up in several delicious cocktail recipes.




Apple Cinnamon Infused Vodka:
4 cinnamon sticks
6 red apples (cut up and peeled)
750 ml of Vodka (we recommend inexpensive vodka)
3 gallon glass jar

Preparation: Put cinnamon sticks and apples in jar. Pour vodka over the ingredients, seal up jar. Put the jar in a pantry and let sit for at least 72 hours. Taste test to your liking.

Apple Pie Martini:
Once your infused vodka is ready,  pour 3 ounces into a shaker along with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, green apple tea and fresh ice. Shake it up, pour into a martini glass and top with whip cream.
