If there’s one day Mom deserves to be spoiled, besides her birthday of course – it’s Mother’s Day. A day to celebrate Moms and Grandmothers everywhere for putting up with us through the years!
Twist Cocktails is happy to share our Mother’s Day Milk Punch recipe. A cold and creamy brunch or dessert cocktail that originated in New Orleans, it’s easy to prepare and delicious with a Mother’s Day brunch of eggs benedict, french toast, seasonal vegetables and bacon.
Mother’s Day Milk Punch: (double for a larger group)
5 cups of whole milk
1 cup of half and half
1 1/2 cups bourbon or brandy
1 cup powdered sifted sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Freshly grated nutmeg for garnish
In a glass pitcher, whisk together milk, half-and-half, liquor, powdered sugar and vanilla. You can either put in fridge and keep chilled or freeze it until it gets slushy, which will take up to 4 hours. Stir before serving it in chilled glasses, garnish with a few gratings of fresh nutmeg. Delicious!
